PM meets with diplomats
Prime Minister Freundel Stuart addressed his first Breakfast Meeting for Heads of Diplomatic Missions at his official residence, Ilaro Court earlier this week.
And he used the occasion to reaffirm Government’s commitment to its responsibility to make Barbados as congenial a place for the discharge of diplomatic duties as possible.
Citing, as an example the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in facilitating the use of the Grace Adams Suite at the Airport by members of the Diplomatic Corps, the Prime Minister reiterated that the philosophy of Barbados’ foreign policy continues to be “friends of all and satellites of none”.

US based coach hired to lead women’s football in Jamaica
KINGSTON, Jamaica, (CMC) — United States-based coach Hue Menzies has been hired as technical advisor to spearhead the development of women’s football in Jamaica following the team’s failure to advance to the 2015 World Cup finals.
Menzies, who assisted the team’s preparation during the CONCACAF round of qualifiers late last year, has been asked to help develop the national programme on the recommendation of Cedella Marley, ambassador for Jamaica women’s football.
Born in England and raised in Jamaica, Menzies is currently the executive director of Florida Kraze Krush football club in the United States.
“I’m working as an adviser right now,” Menzies confirmed.
